As a contemporary jewellery designer and maker, Anjila produces unique one off pieces, small production ranges and delicate sculptural objects. Distinctive visual statements are created with the use of anodised aluminium, although she works predominantly with the precious metals of gold and silver often combining the two through the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo. Anjila is creatively driven by the exploration of surface treatments and embellishment through traditional and contemporary technique.
The inspiration for her work comes from patterns and textures found in the natural world, presenting her with infinite design possibilities and a sense of nature’s sublime perfection.
“Although the ability to create is extremely satisfying, to see the wearer connect with the piece is the most rewarding part of the process.”
